WP multi-site with websites of different root

[ad_1]

Hi there,

I cannot find a guide for setting up multisite with different domain names: We had our WPO365 Login configured and working well with our multisite setup but stopped working now that one of the sites have gone live and has a different domain name (root). I’m getting the error

[2022-10-27 08:16:30] Wpo\Core\Url_Helpers::goto_after -> AAD redirect URL (host -> blacktrace.wpengine.com) and WordPress Site URL (host -> www-test-wp.particle-works.com) belong to different hosts and the COOKIE_DOMAIN constant has not been defined. The user will be redirected to the default WordPress login form instead to prevent an infinite loop.

What do we do to configure our scenario as follows:

We have all our users in one Azure SSO tenant (@blacktrace.com, also our main site)
.
We use WP multisite, websites have different root URLs e.g. www.blacktrace.com, www.particle-works.com
, www-test.particle-works.com,…

Really don’t quite now understand if we should we use dedicated or shared? Which site goes in the COOKIE_DOMAIN?

Should i have a different WPO365 Login installation for each of these subsites (with different domain names) with different Base URLs?

Many thanks for any tips and help!!
