Website made in 2014?

[ad_1]

I’ve recently started work as in-house designer that includes managing a WordPress.org site. Problem is, there’s about 40 plugins, most not updated and I can’t even find where some of the content is.

I can inspect where it is in the browser, but can’t find any reference to it anywhere in the backend.

Is it even manageable to work such an old site or should I just rebuild it from scratch? I’m not a developer so it won’t be fast.

  1. How familiar are you with WordPress? That’s going to have more to do with your frustration level at this project than anything. You can update a site from 2014. But depending on what was done with it before, it might be just as fast (and nicer for the future) to start from scratch. But again, both of those options are going to depend a lot on how much WordPress experience you have.
