Website Still Showing “Not Secure” After Installing SSL

[ad_1]

Hi everyone,

I'm a beginner setting up a website for my business, and I'm having trouble with my SSL certificate. I've installed an SSL certificate and even used the Simple Easy SSL plugin, but my site still shows as "Not Secure." I've tried clearing caches, deactivating and reactivating plugins, and even reinstalling the SSL certificate, but nothing seems to work.

Has anyone else encountered this issue? What might I be missing?

Thanks for your help!

  1. What’s showing in your Settings? Can you share your url? Perhaps you need to perform a search/replace, as WordPress stores all URLs as absolute, they need to be update after installing ssl. This can be done with the Better Search Replace plugin.

  2. Here is what browser says:

The certificate for this site is not valid.

Because this connection is not secure, information (such as passwords or credit cards) will not be securely sent to this site and may be intercepted or seen by others.

We suggest you don’t enter personal information into this site or avoid using this site.
