Weird behavior of Backend

[ad_1]

Hello Everyone

So not long ago my Backend started to act weirdly whenever I am logged in to my site. The Backend works perfectly fine but sometimes when I load a backend page, I get the error establishing a database connection. whenever I get that error, I can just reload the page and it takes me to wherever it is supposed to be without the error occurring again. Then, 3-4 clicks later, same problem with the error, reload and everything works again.

If I get the error in the backend, and I open the Homepage in the Frontend in an incognito tab, everything loads as it should so the error is present only in the Backend.

I made all the updates for wordpress, plugins and themes and the error still occurs sometimes. Did this happen to any of you before and how can i fix it?

Thank you

EDIT: Sometimes the error occurs immediately and sometimes the backend loads for some time 5-10 seconds before the error page gets shown.

  1. Sounds like a resource issue eg lack of memory, which causes mysql to crash. What’s your hosting situation?
