So Ive been trying to post a news item under the new WordPress Block Editor, kept getting a JSON error.
Went to site health, had a caching issue which I fixed with a plugin
Tried to publish the post, still won’t publish
Went back to classic editor and it published. Weird.

Happened to us on several sites, the same scenario, and we solved it in the same way you did, but we didn’t find the reason for that and how to fix it, unfortunately, sorry. 🙁
