What happens to booking plugins when I disable XML-RPC?

[ad_1]

Hello. I’m new to WordPress and web design in general. My goal is to create a tutor website that allows people to book virtual appointments. I’ve been looking at various plugins to facilitate this: amelia, bookly, latepoint, etc. I also want to ensure my site is secure. I’ve read about disabling xml-rpc to help do that.

My main question is: if I disable xml-rpc, will that break any booking plugins that may rely on it to function?

I’ve done some research, and it appears that amelia offers a developers pricing plan that contains the REST API. Is this plan required to use amelia while having xml-rpc disabled?
