I’m just starting my new SaaS site and I’d like to figure out what theme and/or builder to go with.
I’m hearing elementor is slow, divi is slow, etc.
One of my main concerns is that I want to have future flexibility in case I decide to change my site design or theme.
I built one of my pages using optimizepress but when i refunded optimize press, i pretty much lost the design of those pages, a loss which I’d like to avoid in the future.
So far I’m seeing stuff like DIVI, elementor for page builders ,
OceanWP, generatepress, bricks, astra for themes,
Bricks? Bricks builder? and sutff like that, i’m not sure what these are for.
My concerns are mainly ease of setup and future flexibility.
Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

GeneratePress / Bricks / Kadence – these are the themes that I use.
You will often have to do some clean up and adjustments if you change the theme, but stuff like Divi and Elementor will leave garbage if you uninstall them.
Oxygen and Bricks would be best, wouldn’t say it’s easy to learn for a newbie. I don’t think 0.2s of difference in loading of the landing page of your saas should matter which is why I’d say elementor isn’t a bad option.
However if you directly want a fast loading landing page, go for this theme called page bolt.

Choose one. But if speed is important (it is), opt for a Gutenberg based workflow with a theme like OceanWP, GeneratePress, Kadence, etc. Gutenberg blocks are tied closer to native WordPress and blocks can be saved as templates for future use. It will take a little adjustment to learn Gutenberg but it’s heaps faster than a Divi or even Elementor
