Don’t get me wrong – I love default WordPress editor.
I use it with Kadence Block Builder. And the website speed has been nice for all the websites I manage.
Although – there are a few limitations in terms of designs, animations, templates, etc.
The website speed is Top Priority – and that’s why, I still use Blocksy Theme + Kadence Block Builder (Free) + Gutenberg (default).
Wnat other options are there (Free or Paid) with more design options, animations.
Website Speed is still Top Priority. That’s why I moved away from Elementor a year ago.
Thank you.

Cwickly?
Have a look at Bricks, I have been a long-time fan of GeneratePress and Kadence. Now I am playing with Bricks. It is pretty cool.
If you need animations you can add Bricksforge as an add-on for Bricks. Or try Greenshift. They both use GSAP, so more complex animations are possible than with AOS in Kadence. But there is a learning curve.
