I’ve been learning webdev/design about half a year and noticed one reoccurring theme among all major websites: rounded corners.
Is this a fairly new trend? The more I visit sites like Facebook, YouTube, and even Reddit I notice every video and picture has rounded corners.
Border-radius was introduced in 1999 in CSS3. So my question is, why didn’t more websites in the early 2000’s use border radius, and why might it be a trend now? What other trends do you notice in webdesign? Would love to hear your feedback.
