Recently I connected my WordPress site to Google Search Console. The website has I think around 76 pages. A few days later Google Search Console began telling me that I have well over 200,000 pages many of which have been indexed! No security issues were by Google reported and nobody else seemed to have access.
I got wordfence and discovered malware on my site. I removed my website from GSC while we worked this out. After reconnecting to GSC it now says that my sitemap has right number of pages BUT all the pages previously registered (both indexed and not) remain in GSC. What do I do to get rid of them all especially since Google doesn’t see a security problem at all?
