When I give a person admin perimission do they have access to my password? And can they change it?

[ad_1]

Is there anyway to give them admin permission but not have access to my main password and credit card info? Thanks! 🙂 I searched around on here and could not find an answer.

  1. I’m confused what are you giving them admin access too?

Is it WordPress.com or a standalone WordPress install?

If you want them to add content but not mess around give them contributor or install a plugin which allows user role editing and then tick / untick what you want them to do.

  2. Yes they can change your password.
No they don’t see your password – no one see it, it’s encoded in database. Even you can’t see it.
And yes they can add new admins without you.
No they can’t change your email – so you always can reset password with “forgot pass” button

  3. You can also see if you web hosting has an option for you to create a staging site. This way you can give them admin rights without worrying about this. Once they’re done you remove their account and sync staging to live. Some hosts like WP Engine make this process pretty simple.
