Which theme for different use cases?

Hi there,

I use WordPress for a few years now and worked with different themes so far. My current theme for every use case is Divi. Since the theme's own page builder bloats the size of the website I think about switching to a light weighted theme like GeneratePress, Kadence or Astra / Spectra and use the Gutenberg Block Builder.

Which theme can you recommend for the following three use cases?

– Beautiful company websites
– Affiliate / comparison website
– WooCommerce

In all three cases the website should be lightning fast and SEO friendly by default. Would you recommend to use a page builder like Divi, Elementor, Beaver or to use Gutenberg?

Thank you for your opionion!

  1. GeneratePress for the win! Try it, and you’ll not need another theme. Yes, Divi/Elementor etc. give you a bit more GUI tools but the upside of having a super-fast, light-weight non-bloated theme is a benefit you wouldn’t want to miss on. Especially when Google does take into account Speed/Core web vitals.

Check out their Site library (which can be imported with one-click for premium members) Been using it for quite some time and I make nothing but super-fast sites! 🚀

  2. GeneratePressPro+GenerateBlocks

Nothing can beat it. Good, unbloated customizer, Elements, fine-grained Blocks control, nice DynamicData, generated code is clean and fast. Good site library, block patterns, very good documentation and even better support.

Want more functionality – add Pods.

  3. I recommend going with Astra / Spectra because it’s highly popular for its speed and integrates well with various page builders, it’s also compatible with Gutenberg, which I personally use.
