Why does my website have extra webpages ????

[ad_1]

SoI’m having an issue with my website and I’m not sure if it’s good or not. my website is [www.builtbyglass.ca])

and every link on the page directs to a certain page as its intended. When I run an SEO check on my site i notice that i have issues with pages like [https://builtbyglass.ca/portfolio-category/glass-railings/])

. I dont know how this even became a page. I never intended to have separate pages for my blogs or pictures. I only want the pages on my website that are meant to be there. Can anyone point me in the right direction to whats going on because im having a hard time figuring it out. Thank you!

  1. These are taxonomy archive pages that are generated automatically, in this instance “portfolio-category” is a taxonomy and “glass-railings” is a term inside of that.

Do you use Yoast SEO for SEO by any chance? If you look in the settings for Yoast there’s an option to not index those archive pages. (Apologies I can’t remember off the top of my head where it is as I am not at my laptop at the moment!)
