What you’re experiencing is actually correct, because the slider is considered part of the content of the page. And the content of the page gets pushed by the sidebar.
Unfortunately, there’s no easy solution here, as that’s simply how the system works. CSS won’t be very helpful.
What I can recommend instead is to take a look at Blocksy Pro’s Content Blocks feature – https://creativethemes.com/blocksy/docs/extensions/content-blocks/ – which lets you embed any kind of content pretty much anywhere on the site. In this way, you can add that slider above the page contents, leaving the actual contents with the sidebar layout down below.
