MY CLIENT is asking me to do some minor changes on the website and the wordpress theme that I used doesn’t allow those changes.
I am afraid that if I change the theme now then I will have to redesign the whole site.
Can anybody suggest me a solution?

The products are stored in the database; themes usually do not modify or remove database content of plugins.
As already mentioned you should not lose your products.
However it is possible you will have to a lot of work to the site if you change themes. Your present settings and configurations may not transfer to the new theme.
As always before you do anything you need to backup the site. Download all the files and download a backup of the database before doing anything.
I have learned that just because something bad should not happen does not mean that something bad will not happen and it usually ends up not being the thing you were originally worried about.
You can never have too many backups.
Download everything locally, set up the site as a local install, apply new theme – see what happens.
