Will it ruin my site when my theme is already customized & I didn’t make a child theme?

I didn’t knew about the child theme so now BLOCKSY has an update. I don’t want to install a plugin in making a child theme.. Is it gonna ruin my site if I use the child theme this late?

I also use Blocksy without any code/css cuztomizations – is it okay if I don’t make child theme?
