I am currently using a domain that I purchased through GoDaddy. I separately setup a Google Admin account and just linked it to the domain for my email. I did this before creating my website.
When I tried to make that domain connect to my WordPress.com site by switching the nameservers to WordPress, my email stopped working. I switched them back and now the email works again, but not sure how to link it to my site.
Any suggestions? This has been a major headache and I’m not sure what to do to fix it.

Update only the A records I’m the DNS. Leave the MX records alone.
