It’s really seems super long overdue but I am shocked with the recent WordPress 6.6 update, there are still 0 mobile responsive controls with the blocks. I use Kadence to make up for this and fill in some other gaps, but does the dev team simply not care or have this on a future roadmap? 6.6 was kinda of a dud of an update except plug-in rollback.
Also is the Media Library ever going to be modernized too?
How modern your editor is depends on how modern your theme is. Are you using a block-based theme?
I have the same issue with the built in blocks. They could be so great, if they had any mobile-responsive features at all. We’re halfway through 2024, not 2004. There are more phones and tablets out there in the wild than computers.
