With many similar features now, can anyone share an objective comparison between Bricks and Breakdance in 2024 (beyond the love of Bricks dev and Breakdance’s launch fiasco)

[ad_1]

I’ve searched this sub and read a lot about Bricks vs Breakdance but many of the posts are older and both products have been updated several times since then. For example, Bricks is praised for being for devs since it’s a class first approach but now Breakdance has classes as well (albeit not as front and centre). Breakdance seems to noted for launching faster, but Bricks seems to have a better interface. Support seems to be better on the Bricks side with the larger community, but Breakdance appears to have themes and components for rapid development without having to buy access to additional tools?

Can anyone share experience they’ve had with either builder or the pros and cons that may not be immediately obvious? I’m trying to cut through the personal feelings of peoples love for Bricks Dev and hate for how Breakdance launchd and just understand the objective functionality.

**My use case:**

I generally build simpler sites for clients like dentists, restaurants, law firms, smaller ecommerce stores, and SaaS Startups, etc. Generally we don’t do much maintenance or updates after completion. Cost wise, I missed the LTD for Bricks at $249, but only ever build 3-5 sites at one time so didn’t need the unlimited sites license as I can move and free up licences keys after finishing a project.

Just wanted to say thank you for all the new clients I’ve been picking up from guys like you lately whose clients sites have been hacked due to the theme and plugins not being able to be updated.

Bro. That’s not how WordPress dev works… you should never “free up licenses”. Don’t cripple paying clients sites. Buy a lifetime license, allow your clients to continue to receive updates for the theme and plugins you installed!
