Wix to WordPress

[ad_1]

In under a month I managed to build a website on wix that’s a shared blog. Peopl apply through a form on the website, i receive the application, review, then accept them as writers. Kind of like an online magazine. It’s slowly gaining attention from where I’m from, and here comes the problem: wix is BAD.

As a teen and someone who never built websites I was proud of myself on navigating through wix but now I need to migrate to WordPress ASAP, in under 2 months. Any tips?

And can I add an application form on my WordPress, people fill it in, I get an email and review it, then I send them an email if they get accepted as a writer? If so, can I add them as writers for the blog but limiting their capabilities of changing the website? As in they can only edit their own blog post. And can they have a writers acc?

Any help is appreciated, and I know my mistake was so bad. Learnt my lesson to never use wix ever again.

  1. Yes to all of what you asked. All possible. For the permissions to only editors to edit their own posts, I recommend the plugin Admin and Site Enhancements (ASE) Pro. For forms use something reliable like Gravity Forms, skip Contact Form 7 or any free junk. This should get you a start without doing too much research other than learning how all the tools work.
