I’m starting to feel crazy. I’ve never had any problems setting up a WordPress site before. But I can’t for the life of me get woocommerce to work on this site. Over the last week I have deleted and wiped and recreated this site 3 times just trying to get woo to work to no avail.
Tried kadence first. Fatal memory error. Did everything to increase memory fix loops and still woo and kadence wouldn’t work together.
Tried Astra. Same results.
Tried to do a blank wordpress install and start with woocommerce. Everything working great until I tried to add a theme and customize it. Broke the site instantly.
Starting to lose my mind. If anyone has any suggestions I’ll try anything at this point. Is woocommerce just no good anymore? Should I just say screw it and pay for shopify? Was really hoping to go with woo cuz it’s more or less free.
Thanks in advance for any advice or criticism 😔

Sounds like you don’t have enough RAM assigned to PHP.
Check Tools > Site Health > Info tab > Server, see how much PHP memory limit is.
You can then use Query Monitor plugin and have a look around in there.
Should give you an idea of what is going on / causing the issue.
My guess is server resources / low grade web hosting.
Thanks for everything. I appreciate it. 🙏
Also if it makes a difference, this fatal error always only affects the backend of the site. The WordPress dashboard. Even when there is a fatal error the actual website loads fine.
