Woocommerece Fatal Error Won’t Activate

[ad_1]

“catcl_settings” doesn’t exist in woocommerce. To confirm, do a text search of the plugin code on your hard drive. So it must be coming from one of your other plugins or your theme. Other code sometimes calls woocommerce code.

Deactivate all other plugins and switch to the Storefront theme. I would expect WooCommerce will now activate. Reactivate theme and plugins one by one and check to find the offending theme or plugin.

“catcl” could be short for “custom add to cart labels”, which is a another plugin, do you have that?

Also check any custom code you may have in functions.php for your child theme, if you have one, or code in a code snippets plugin if you are running one.

Thanks, in the end I found a solution by messing about, I removed woocommerece from the server. The problem continued when I reuploaded the latest version. So I uploaded the second newest version, then set its permission to 755 and I could activate the plugin and update it. I have no idea what part of that process fixed the problem but it worked.

Out of interest I did a search of the plugin folder using grep and could not find any “catcl”
