This minor release features 7 bug fixes in Core and 9 bug fixes for the Block Editor.

It's worth noting that with v6.6, WordPress moved PHP 8.2 from "beta support” to "compatible with exceptions," so now is a good time to bump PHP to 8.2 if you haven't already. 8.1 will no longer get security updates starting late this year.

  1. I just updated my site to 6.6.1. I usually do that after the first maintenance release is out.

  2. Ugh man, I hate PHP updates. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve had an easy time doing them in the past but they always scared the shit out of me.
