Hi, I’m quite new to WP. A few months ago I created a WP account and now I want to access it again however, went I put in my email address it say that is not recognised my email address. If I look at my emails I can see that I signed up to WP with that same email. Any help or ideas would be very helpful..

Do you mean a WordPress.com account? Then you need to reach out to WordPress.com.

So, where are you trying to login? If you are not trying to log into the WordPress installation you created with LocalWP, your login will not work anywhere else.
