I'm build a website for selling live language lessons (online and in-person). It is a small biz and I expect the website to be online in a month.
During the process, I'd like to hire a WP freelancer to coach me and point out better ways of my choice or the things I should consider but did not.
What are things we should discuss and align in the beginning?

Scope out your **must haves, nice to haves and future considerations for the build.** Additional questions:
* Are you hosting the site or are they?
* Will they provide training after launch or at least documentation so you know how its built?
* Are you working on a flat fee?
* What happens when/if you go out of scope, whats the additional cost?
* What is your workback schedule if you expect to go live in a month? Whats the week by week roadmap include?
* How often will you sync? How much time between feedback/revision rounds?
Side note – is this your first site or first time building a site and why WP over say a quick landing page on Cardd or Squarespace? Are you looking for certain functionality or freedom for customization? Genuinely not trying to deter you, I have a WP agency myself, just wondering as many make the mistake of choosing platform first over purpose.
Hope that helps, good luck!
Everything said above. But make sure there’s a contract in place as well. I’m a freelancer and I make sure all of my clients are part of an agreement policy. And that just uphold my standards as well as standards from the client side as well.
I work super cheap. I don’t do multiple languages, but I’m sure that I can. I’ve built about 100 WordPress websites from start to finish.
Your scope, design, requirements, budget, and main vision.
