WP Engine Cron Job Issues

[ad_1]

Hello there! Our company, All My Web Needs, hosts over 150 websites with WP Engine. I would like to use your plugin to do bulk editing, but it is completely impossible to use a server-level cron job with WP Engine. They will not allow it. We have already contacted their support asking for exceptions and help and the only thing they can offer is to use the WP Crontrol plugin (which is not a server-level cron job).

Right now, the plugin seems to be preventing me from using the Bulk Editor/Auto Content Writer feature and shows a red warning at the top that says, “You must configure a Cron Job on your hosting/server. If this is not done, the Bulk Editor feature will not be available for use.”

Is there a workaround that will allow me to use the Bulk Editor/Auto Content Writer feature of your plugin? For example, could we use a different server to fire a cron job targeting a specific URL? Or perhaps use the WP Crontrol plugin to create the cron job and have an uptime monitor pinging a specific URL every 1-5 minutes to ensure the cron job fires?
