WP Server Unresponsive

I set up an ec2 instance to install WP on. I verified that at that point the site worked and I was able to access /wp-admin. When I went to install WooCommerce the installation step froze and ever since then, it's been unresponsive. I can no longer access my site and I can't even SSH into the server. It shows no signs of life. Anyone experience this and know a fix? I'd love not to have to reinstall everything again.

Note: I was using their free-tier ec2 which I know is pretty low specs. I'm sure it had something to do with this.
