Yoast SEO not counting words in Preformatted Block

Thanks for reaching out regarding the Yoast SEO content analysis. We’re aware that content in the quote block/preformatted text gets excluded. This is because it generates <blockquote>; You can read the discussion on GitHub.

I’ll recommend optimizing your content within a Paragraph block first before adding the content to a Quote block. And though our plugin does not detect content added in the Quote block due to our plugin excluding it, this does not affect how search engines crawl and analyze your site. Search engines process the front end of your site and will detect your content.
