I wanted to add to my support question, the billing email under a different user. Does this matter? Does the alias email have to be connected to the Google sign in? I am the admin of Google Workspace, the API is under my account, however the billing email is under a different user. I do not have a dropdown based on the videos I have watched and when I test my alias emails connected to me it does not work. It is still sending from support, which is the email I signed up with. The WP site settings are set to billing email. Any help would be great.

Never mind, I figured it out.
It might be helpful to add to your documentation that you must be signed in the account of the alias email you want to use. I thought I had to sign in my admin email. And it would be nice if you update https://wpmailsmtp.com/gmail-send-from-alias-wp-mail-smtp to show that there is no longer a dropdown. You just add the alias email you want to use that is setup in Google.
So in the Google / Gmail section you must sign in with the user who has the alias email you want to use not the Google Workspace Admin email, unless it has the alias email.
Remove OAuth Connection Connected as[email protected]If you want to use a different From Email address you can set up a Google email alias. Follow these instructions and then select the From Email at the top of this page.
You can also send emails with different From Email addresses, by disabling the Force From Email setting and using registered aliases throughout your WordPress site as the From Email addresses.
Removing the OAuth connection will give you an ability to redo the OAuth connection or link to another Google account.
