Any downside to starting with a Kadence Theme “Starter Template”?

[ad_1]

I downloaded the Kadence theme to build a site and it gave me the option to use a Gutenberg Blocks “Starter Template” where you can import a full pre-made site. Are these customizable in the long-term or should I start building from scratch? This is for a personal project/blog.

  1. When I first started, I used a premade Divi layout (I know, not Kadence) and it was very customizable. After I had the premade layout up for a while, I wanted to take a crack at building my own site.

I’m not against premades, but I think knowing what goes into your site can help you troubleshoot issues later and it provides the ability to customize it further down the road.

  2. Sure you know a Starter Template is to give you a quick start, but you may need to spend time fixing things here and there… If you can find a starter site that fits most of your requirements, then may give it a try.

What’s the concern? Maybe… you’re worried about seeing a few similar designs elsewhere?

Of course, if you have a plan in mind, and have the knowledge and time, then may go ahead and build from scratch.
