I have only used updraftplus but wondering if it is the best. I ran a backup and restore but it wouldn’t go for some reason. Maybe this was an anomaly.
Looking for a different backup option and would like to hear opinions. Updraft can’t be the only backup solution for wp and right?

An automated Cron job!
There are dozens of decent backup plugins, and I’ve tried most of them – I prefer Updraft and have used it for over a decade on hundreds of sites without issue.

I use tar, mysql dump, rsync in crontab; weekly full, daily incremental. And manual with Duplicator plugin, before updates/changes, to local PC.
