Can I achieve this using plugins?

[ad_1]

Hi,

I’m looking for some advice on how to to set the following up. I’m looking to have 2 dropdown fields integrated on the homepage that helps the user find the blog post they are looking for very quickly. One dropdown field would be for the blog post categories, then the second field would show the options (posts) within that category.

For example lets say a movie blog, the first field would be the genre. So the user selects “horror” and then they select the specific horror movie from the second dropdown.

Once the movie has been selected they click a button and it would take them directly to the article.

Below is an example of how I would like it to look integrated with the homepage:

Are there any plugins that offer this functionality or is it a custom code job? Currently using Elementor as a theme if that helps.

Thanks

  1. FacetWP…or WPFacet. Can’t be bothered to look, but it’ll do that type of thing. You might have to setup a few custom filters, but nothing too crazy.
