For the 24-hour question, I would ensure you have the correct time setting in the WordPress Dashboard under Settings > General tab. Our plugins will use the time settings that you have configured in the WordPress settings.
If you have the settings set correctly and you are still not seeing 24-hr time in our plugins, please let me know.

Oh, I was sure my dev version had the correct date format, but it did not.
So finally no problem, it works perfectly. Thanks!
