Changed a bunch post types with set_post_type, but single-{post_type}.php doesn’t work

Hi.

I set a large number of posts of one custom post type to a new custom post type using the set\_post\_type function. I am trying to create a template for this custom post type. It works when I create a new custom post, but the converted posts still use the old template or may be reverting to single.php.

Any suggestions?
