Cleaning wp_options table

[ad_1]

Hi, I was notified by WP Engine that our site was using too many server resources and noted that our autoload of options in quite high. They sent me a list and I see a lot of things that obviously apply to old plugins and an old theme we haven’t used in years (Avia Enfold).

After making a backup, is it safe to go in and delete the rows for these items?

EDIT: What could go wrong if one of these rows was somehow still needed?

Thanks for the help.

  1. Create a staging copy ([https://wpengine.com/support/copy-site/]), test your theory on there. Don’t delete stuff in the DB on prod.
