Im building a website/server for my whole family. It is private and will serve multiple purposes. I own a domain through cloudflare and am using wordpress to build an interface.
Some of the purposes of the website will consist of photo storage/backup and sharing, file backup, windows network drive mapping, and a media server for movies and tv shows.
I will have the website’s photo system set up similarly to how google photos is. Where the photos can be stored and shared and access can be granted to different users. So varying degrees of frequency and sizes, and storing and accessing.
I want it to be possible for everyone to be able to backup their entire computers and all of their devices. It is also going to be set up so that a specific folder of the file storage server can be added to the family members’ computers by mapping a network drive. So many terabytes, with infrequent large uploads, frequent small uploads, and varying degrees of size and frequency of access. But I don’t want to have to pay $100 to recover my computer.
The media server will be set up for people to store movies and tv shows and be able to stream them on their devices.
Is my best option amazom s3 intelligent tiering? How much can i expect this to cost? I know pricing is complicated but a ballpark would be fine.

What backup software are you using? Are you a developer? This isn’t an easy job. And TBH, WP isn’t the right tool for this.
I use a Synology DSM and its Photos app for this. Managed to set it up without owning a physical Synology box using a bootloader thats out there on the internet.
Works like a charm.
What in the world are you talking about ?
You are throwing a lot of big words here
Why don’t you use DropBox ?
What you are describing is exactly what DropBox is.
Why do you neee to re-invent the wheel.
You need DropBox
Or if you want more, use SharePoint and store the database on a personal hard drive that is connected to the internet.
Do you know what SharePoint is ?
As much as I love WordPress, this is not a WordPress Project.
This is either a Dropbox project or a SharePoint project.
