Detecting which active plugins are not in use

[ad_1]

I am fixing some issues with a WP site, and it seems the plugins are causing no end of problems.

I have just fixed an error by disabling a handful of plugins, and I think we should probably delete all those not in use, as a starter for 10.

Is it possible to determine which of the “active” plugins are in fact not in use? Even though they are active, they are not being used anywhere?

Of course some of them are necessarily in use if they are activated; but some appear to need to be instantiated on pages and I’d like to remove those that are not.
