Divi theme – at my end with its slowness

[ad_1]

I have used Dreamhost for years, but am considering a move. I have used Divi themes and love them and built them all over the place, but the slowness is killer. Seems like no matter what I do something else slows it down. I moved off of the shared server to my own virtual machine on Linux with Dreamhost and still slow as snot. Recommendations? Cost is a factor I do mostly sites for non-profits and churches.

  1. Divi is well known for its slowness. And Dreamhost are well known for cramming thousands of sites on underpowered servers. [And poor security])

I’d recommend you look into getting your own server on Digital Ocean or Linode, combined with RunCloud to manage it (assuming you’re aren’t familiar with managing Linux via the command line).
