  1. I’m not really sure what you’re asking.

Yes if you’re using a [wordpress.com](http://wordpress.com) domain, your own domain name will make your site look more professional.

  2. You could use blogger for google and when you buy the domain to point this to the google blog. I do this for a blog I have that isn’t WordPress. This way you only need to buy the domain and not hosting.

The other advantage of this is you log into it using your google account.

But as this is a WordPress sub I’d build something on the platform and learn by doing. Read the documentation, play in WordPress own official “playground” and refine your skills.

  3. No, you don’t need an app to work with WordPress. It’s interface opens right on the webpage, simply go to yourdomain.com/wp-admin. What lots of people use for testing (“staging”) and exploring is the “Local” app. It let’s you create a WordPress website locally on your computer, but to publish it you still need domain & hosting. So for you I see no need to use that app.
