Doing SEO work as a contractor, having problems with plug ins.

Okay, hopefully this will make sense. My knowledge about websites is basic at best. I'm doing some site work for a client, particularly working with Yoast and doing some light research on things she wants to change about her site. I can see/work with the majority of Yoast functions but I can't see the Redirect Manager. I also can't see her plug ins in the site.

She said she has me in a specifically modified role as an "editor 2" where I should be able to see plug ins, and she made this role using the plug in called "user role editor". I've tried digging around to see what the issue is but my access is limited since I can't see what she sees because she's an admin. My current guess is there's something with the role editor plug in that's messing up where I should have access to plug ins but don't. Either that or she has to specifically give permission to view the individual plug ins I need?

So what can I do here? Again, I'm still learning this as I go so I'm very out of my depth. Any help is appreciated.

  1. 1. Redirects are placed under “Tools” by Yoast.
    2. Ask her to see if she can add Tools to your user role & see if that helps.
    3. If she really wants your help she needs to trust you with an admin level account.
    4. I’m afraid it sounds like it’s not a job for someone at your skill level. How much are you charging her as someone without knowledge about websites offering SEO service?
