Yes, as per the older thread you linked to, this is known issue and very low priority.
It doesn’t error-out submitting the edits. It errors-out when reloading the page. If you refresh after seeing the 504, you’ll see your edited review.
Thanks @macmanx. Understood it’s low-priority, wanted to report it still persists. If there’s a trac or github ticket I should contribute to instead I would be happy to.
No worries, we’re aware, moderators encounter it every time we have to edit something. 🙂
