How do I change the color of text, background, and imagery on a WordPress site without using premium options. And can I do this on a template or does it have to be made from scratch?

Something tells me you might be using WordPress.com as opposed to having freely downloaded WordPress from WordPress.org.
There seems to be a lot of people seemingly being duped in to signing up recently.
I am only assuming obviously, but if you’d downloaded WordPress then you’d feel free to edit anything you wanted for free.
