  1. I think the first thing you should learn is some HTML and CSS. After you can take a look at https://learn.wordpress.org/

If you’re planning on building sites from scratch w/ WordPress, then you should learn some PHP and JavaScript.

Otherwise, you can either buy some pre-made theme (ex: ThemeForest), or look into a builder or block editor.

Coding isn’t my strongest suit, so for the time being, I’m sticking to builders. The one I use now is Bricks with AutomaticCSS plugin, so after learning a bit about Bricks through a paid course, I’m studying a couple of free ones which focus a bit more on CSS and ACSS: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-huJ-SbO3BI&list=PLBpy-YllkBawiMQNVh8ZBXIz8QW_vUjiV and then https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6XIHJ8NBuFw&list=PL72Ci-T5YC93yut2z1NZBVY1pBYy2osB8

After that I might look into DesignCourse lessons to improve on my CSS and UX/UI skills.
