Whenever I share links to my WordPress posts or site in WhatsApp it shows my author photo. How do I change this so it uses the featured image (as per Facebook)?
That relates to the open-graph image associated with your post or website. Are you using a page builder by any chance? If so, which one?
Several have issues with this exact thing, but you can use a SEO tool that you might already be using to overwrite this.
Personally im a fan of slimSEO and in its settings you can determine what image, title, and description shows up when shared online or in messaging apps. This works with Yoast and RankMath just as well, but they are “heavier”.
Use seo plugins like Yoast/Rank Math
Set Feature images for the page/post
Edit the opengraph images
Clear cache and check it out
Use Yoast SEO and set the correct Open Graph image under the social tab for each post
