How to change theme language ?

[ad_1]

Half of my website is in english and I can’t change it.. Basic stuff I could change with ux builder and customizer, some things I changed thru theme file editor but the other I can’t, like buttons and checkout page(managed to change only a half of it).. I tried using loco translate but it doesn’t work, later I found some readme file that says any translations will be overwritten by the theme and I need to place language file in child theme folder, could that be it ? Also can I make child theme with plugin ?

  1. Sadly it really depends on your setup, I would say LocoTranslate is your best bet but you’ll need to know where those string are coming from (from your theme or a plugin). Also you need to know if your theme is translation ready (this is true for all the themes and plugins from the repo if i’m not mistaken).

For the locotranslate issue, it gives you some choices to where to store the translations, I’m not sure if any location takes priority over others so you can search that up too just to be sure
