I was looking for a plugin to track button clicks and OptinMonster was recommended online. After downloading and playing around with their button options, I didn’t like the style.

I only previewed the pop up (seen right in image above) before deactivating the plugin but now this annoying green pop up is showing randomly throughout my website, even on pages I never previewed it on. I tried deactivating and deleting the plugin, but that did nothing.

Weirdly, it doesn’t always show up. For some of my coworkers, it doesn’t appear for them. In incognito mode it seems to always show up so I’m guessing it’s cookie thing?

My question is does anyone know how to fully remove OptinMonster data from a website? I’ve never deleted a plugin and still had it impacting my site. It also downloaded AIOSEO automatically which messed up my SEO for a couple days before I found the plugin installed. So yeah, don’t recommend OptinMonster and could use some help.

  1. Is the plug-in still listed in the plug-ins list? Do you just need to clear the cache on the site?

  2. Clear cache

View website on a new browser and in incognito

Open wp-content in your file manager when login to cpanel.
Look for cache folder or anything caching file directly in the wp-content and delete them.

    You have a caching problem.

You can also clear cookies in your browser
