I’m newish to webdev, WordPress, and hosting but for the past year I’ve been learning everyday. I always had a hunch that DreamHost is slow (ty r/webhosting), so I finally migrated to Hostinger, same shared hosting as DreamHost, but only $3 more a month and the speed difference is INCREDIBLE.
I’ve noticed that DreamHost’s speed is unpredictable. Sometimes it’s fast, other times slow, and on rare occasions the website won’t load 😂
It feels like I went from 3g to Wi-Fi. I don’t know why anyone would keep paying for DreamHost if Hostinger has faster speeds for the same price. The only downside I can think of is “unlimited storage”.
What are your thoughts on Hostinger and are there other great web hosting providers out there?
