Earlier today I posted a comment on the support forum of a plugin, to contribute a fix for a conflict. It wasn’t my responsibility to prepare a fix, but, since the error was due to a conflict with one of my solutions and caused a fatal error that could affect many users, and it was an easy change, I quickly put together a patched version of the affected plugin, together with a Git repository to log the changes, and made it available in my comment.
Since I was in a rush, I simply zipped the patched plugin and uploaded it to Dropbox, without thinking much of it. However, I was informed that such a link is considered suspicious, and it should be removed.
Long story short, the work I did with my best intentions is seen as suspect due to the way I published it. Due to that, I would like to remove the paragraph with the link to the file. Thanks.
