Is Jet Engine worth it or is there better premium alternatives?
So I’m looking for something that offers a lot of dynamic functionality. Something like advance custom fields. But the problem is, I don’t like that I can’t get a one time payment with ACF. A one time payment option is very important to me.
Without knowing your actual goal, it’s hard to say but Pods will give you the custom post types, templates and features for free.
It won’t do shit like AI queries or whatever but if you have or are a competent dev it’s pretty good.
MetaBox is an ACF alternative with a lifetime option. I’d say it offers more than ACF. The Twig engine in MetaBox Views is great. But, like ACF it requires coding or some compatible builder. I have no experience with Jet Engine, maybe it is good, I don’t know.
How does one compare ACF to a payment processor??
That’s like getting mad because your couch can’t drive you to work autonomously.
I use Jet Engine all the time to create custom post types/ custom fields/ post templates etc. It’s very nifty and easy to use but I have noticed that too much dynamic content (think: a template inside a template inside an accordion in a post grid) has significant impact on loading speed. Can’t really compare it to other plugins, but a decent caching plugin is very helpful.
Can’t comment on the payment feature as I’ve never used it.
