Looking for a OpenStreetMaps plugin WITH GDPR/DSGVO conformity

[ad_1]

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for an OpenStreetMap plugin whose map simply has to be filled with multiple pins in the backend. When creating a pin, an address search must be available so that the coordinates are determined automatically.

There is a perfect plugin for that: MapIt.

Unfortunately, the requirement is that the whole thing has to be GDPR/DSGVO compliant. In practice, this means: no external script and no external data may be loaded before the user agrees. This is not possible with the plugin above, as it embeds scripts directly in the WordPress header and places a <div> in the page where the map is shown (so no iframe containing all the data).

An iframe is easy to block and query, but I can’t affect dynamic loading without editing the plugin, which is not an option.

Is there any plugin (also for money) that can be used GDPR compliant? I have tested almost all plugins on [wordpress.org]), none of them have data protection issues.

P.S. Google Maps is not an option (also because of the API costs)

  1. A stupid idea that just occurred to me.

Set up a variable for cookies accepted. If that variable is not what it needs to be, the header won’t access the external page until you click yes. Once you accept it, it reloads the page with the appropriate header.
